Many situations cause perceptions to be skewed, confused, or
downright incorrect. Illusions and all manner of visual deceptions are
useless against the user of True Seeing. The user sees the deception or
confusion clearly and in it's true form, and therefore can react to it
appropriately. Many forms of Manc are vulnerable to True Seeing and
along with Restoration is a bane to many. True Seeing
does not banish or negate the actual deception, but the user sees it in
its true form with the deception like an aura or ghostly form about the
true form. Concealed doors are obvious, illusions are revealed and
ineffective, disguises seem to be hovering over the disguiser, and
camouflage is revealed.
All things are revealed to the user of True Seeing while the Duration is in effect which lasts in Rounds equal to the caster's Level. Once the Duration has ended any effect on the user from the deception is ineffective unless there is a Manc element that causes it to do so, in which case any saves are allowed to be re-taken with a bonus equal to the caster's Level. There is no protection against True Seeing, no way to mask its revelation of the concealed or illusionary.
True Seeing has no effect on unconcealed but indecipherable
situations. It does not reveal a lost gem amongst a pile of gems, or
translate a language unknown, for example.
