Many insects seem to cling to upturned surfaces, walk across impossible angles and ignore the pull of the world downwards. The master of this must be the spider, however, to which this Manc allows the user to cling to any surface, at any angle and move, with all four limbs across it easily.

The user simply touches the surface with the palms of their hands, then their feet and they can traverse easily across any surface or incline. They can hold on with less than two limbs, but not move. Trying to traverse with only two limbs causes the users own weight to begin to become an issue and an unsuccessful Dexterity roll results in a near fall with only a successful Dexterity roll allowing purchase to continue. Failing the second roll results in a drop or fall. Movement across the surface is also reduced by 40% for each limb under four not used.

Movement is typically half the users normal movement. The Manc allows the four limbs and climbing action to ignore the usual hindrance this would cause and also ignores the effects of being upside down, or at any angle other than normal vertical. Difficult terrain, such as climbing over spiky walls etc. takes time, not Dexterity checks. The Manc allows each limb to hold on with a feeling of magnetism, rather than stickiness. Should the user fall unconscious, or has Banish Manc cast upon them the Manc is negated and the user will fall.

Clothes worn are ignored by the Manc, however if the weight being carried is more than twice that of the climber then the Manc fails and limbs begin falling off and Dexterity rolls are needed just to remain in place. However, if the user is suddenly grown, or gains extra strength and this increases their ability to carry double their weight, this allows the Manc to operate normally.

As the Duration ends the feeling of adhesion lessens slowly until the limbs no longer stick unnaturally. The user can let go of any limb at any point wished and while the Duration is in effect can release or climb as much as is wished. Spider Climb gives no bonus to holding on to equipment, weapons etc. Only movement across surfaces, although it would allow sure grip of a bar or pole to cross a space etc.
