Elemental Manc is some of the most powerful Manc, able to transform substances into completely different substances. Rock To Mud transforms any form of stone into a mixture of soil and water combined into a sticky quagmire of which things entering the area become bogged down and may not be able to move at all.
The rock, once affected by this Manc is transformed into mud but the area covered is somewhat determined by the caster. By default it covers an area of rock equal to the caster's Level x 5 in diameter and two feet deep. This is usually easily enough to reduce easy movement for most creatures. This area covered can be altered however at casting, but once casting has finished it remains in that state until the Duration ends or it is dispelled. The diameter may be reduced by any amount wished and an approrpiate amount increased in depth. This is equal to 2 two feet reduction in diameter per foot gained in depth. For example a Level 5 Mancer creates an area of 25' in diameter and 2' deep, but they could elect to reduce the area to only 10' across, increasing the depth to 10'6". Alternately, the diameter can be increased by 5 feet per foot lost in depth to a minimum of an inch, thus creating merely a slippery, dirty surface.
The rock is transformed in a moment or two from a central point of the caster's choosing. Once the Duration ends the mud solidifies and becomes rock over the course of a Round. Creatures get to Save Vs Manc and if successful are pushed free of the mud as it returns to its original state. Things caught in the mud are caught by the rock and although unharmed must be broken out with care or released with Free Movement, or Alter Form. Anything buried beneath the mud at the end of the Duration, will, as stated only be freed if alive and successfully Saves Vs Manc, otherwise they remain below the rock, entombed without light, air or movement. In this situation Free Movement will not aid them.
If cast upon elementals of rock or stone then they are affected and turned to mud, usually to fall helpless to the ground. In this case the area of mud is equal to their size and becomes a puddle-shaped mass. When the Duration ends they return to their natural state. Should the mud be disrupted and divided before the Duration ends, the victim is destroyed unless a Restoration is cast upon all pieces, and if not an elemental a Raise Dead is then needed. Elementals do not need Raise Dead as merely being returned together revives them.
Banish Manc, Stone, or Restoration all dispel or return the mud back to rock.
By adding an extra Power Level the caster can make the mud more
fluid or more firm. An extra Power Level added can make the Duration
last for a day. Adding three Power Levels means the Duration lasts a
Pentawaek, and adding five Power Levels increases the Duration to a
Dodecate.
