Poison here also defines venoms and toxins. Although some may argue
they are separate and different substances in either their make-up or
their applications, they all perform one function: to cause another to
suffer some effect as desired by the producer. This is not connected
with diseases, but with all the many substances that can cause an
effect, not all of them deadly or damaging, in a target. The term
poison will cover all three types throughout this
Manc description.
This Manc allows the user to cure a subject target of a poison. It removes and neutralises any further damage caused by the poison. This Manc does not heal any damage taken before this Manc is used, thus speed can be of the essence in removing deadly poisons. This Manc does not protect or give resistance to anyone against poisons. It matters not which poison is in the victim, but the number of different poisons that can be cured is equal to the Level of the casting Mancer, starting with the most deadly and negating the next worse and so on. Unfortunately what constitutes as worse is debatable: pain over damage, or long-term effects over short-term incapacity, and such. This often leads to an uncertain order in which some poisons are cured. If the casting Mancer knows there are more than one poison, or a higher Level casting Mancer knows there are less poisons present than their Level, they may choose which identified poison to cure first. Note that this cures or removes a poison from a target victim, which can be an animal, plant or other being. It can negate a ppison that a plant or creature uses to give a poison, via ingestion, stinging, biting, or such. This means that should a target victim have a continuing sting or thorn in them that keeps pumping poison into its victim, curing the victim without removing the sting, or the poison from the sting, means they will quickly be poisoned again.
