This is an awesome offensive Manc. Its capabilities are simple, effective, and often deadly. A silver cylinder of energy is created, 16 inches long and 3 inches in diameter; if it were possible to stop it and view it closely it would be seen to appear to be composed of compressed lightning. Its flashes, sparkles and continuous movement of blue-white light resembling a section of lightning as seen during a nightly thunderstorm.
The bolt issues from the caster or item and follows a direct and truly straight path until its range has been spent whereupon if it has failed to hit anything it vanishes in a flash. Anything that is touched by the bolt suffers its power. The bolt has the full force of fork lightning. It fries and incinerates anything it comes into contact with, burning a clear cylinder through that which it passes. Flesh, wood, metal, and stone all succumb to its ferocity. Only dragon scales of ancient breeds may offer some protection or Manc items specifically created to withstand such power. Banish Manc also dispels it, Visible Wall, Invisible Wall, and Protection From Evil all resist it. Manc Metal reduces the damage, while Hold Moment and Slow both may effect but not dispel it.
As it makes contact with something it fizzles its way through, searing wood and soft organics or melting metals or stone. This is a more powerful form of Lightning Streak but it's straight course means it can be evaded or even blocked. Into solid stone or earth it will continue until it's range has been reached. Through water it evaporates the liquid but continues down in its projected course until its range ends where it then disperses with a spark of energy throughout the liquid. Oddly, a Lightning Bolt will never start a fire even in the driest parchment but on contact with oils it will cause an immense spark, possibly igniting the oil and causing a large explosion if in large quantities. Fire, water, air, nor wind will affect the bolt, nor the forces of the world's pull, only physical elements slow it or take the damage it can inflict.
The caster can dispel the bolt, if they are fast thinking enough and before it reaches its range. The bolt appears three inches from the caster's hand or item and then hurtles off as fast as an arrow, catching easily the speediest of horses or birds.
On casting from an armlet only one finger must point forward. When
casting the rod, it must be tapped upon the ground or some earth
material; the top of a stone statue would suffice. The top end of the
rod glows momentarily before the caster points the rod at the target
and the bolt appears and flies off. Spells, like the armlet, only
require one finger pointed at the target.

Item Creation:-
The items that can store Lightning Bolt become dangerous to wield, for should any of these items become broken or destroyed then they explode. The armlet can have minor repairs to it without risk but a bad tear will constitute its destruction.
The staff can be any hard wood cut from a tree that has been struck by lightning. It must have the symbol of lightning carved or otherwise marked upon it. The staff must be shod in silver, at least at the footing.
The armlet needs the symbol of lightning either as a silver adornment, embroidered in silver thread, or as part of the stitching in silver thread. The armlet may be armoured, cloth, or plant matter, but must be at least to elbow length. Soaked in rain from a thunderstorm (which may be collected and used before the next storm, or before two Pentawaeks have passed), then it is dried over a hot fire.
Imbuing the Spell requires an Üolarm with wooden candlesticks holding silver candles at least 8 inches long. A silver needle needs to pierce both palms of the creator after the item creation chant (with the .... being replaced with the word Slek) and the blood smeared on the candles before they have melted half way. This is followed by meditation for two Passages in total pitch darkness (Darkness Manc will suffice) with the eyes closed tightly or a blindfold, and the creator must concentrate upon the flashes of light in their mind's eye. The sound of a storm overhead lowers the Power of the Manc by 1 or 2 Levels depending upon the ferocity of the storm. Once the meditation has ended, the Mancer needs their whole body to be washed in cold water, scrubbed with light-coloured sand or vigorous brushing with a stiff brush, then the modified chant must be repeated.Item Vocals:
