The power to enlarge, or make something bigger, is something overlooked by many, unless it is to intimidate. Jynellis enables the caster to increase the size of themselves or a victim target. Once enlarged the size can only be increased or dispelled until the Duration ends. It can not be used to reduce again or return to normal size while the Duration is in effect. It increases the size of the target only.
The amount of enlargement is, however, up to the caster, or the target victim if given free-use of the Manc while in Duration. From as small as a half inch up to 100 feet taller than the target's normal size, any object can be enlarged allowing for the locality it is in. While Duration is in effect the caster, or free-use victim. can increase again and again in any amount up to the maximum. E.g. A caster could increase the size of a normal sword by only 2 inches, wielded by an allied warrior. Later the caster decides to enlarge the sword again to twice its normal size, making it a two-handed sword, however, later the warrior loses their sword to an enemy, so the caster again enlarges the sword, but this time to 100 feet in length, thus making the sword unusable and potentially crushing the enemy if they are caught below the sword as it enlarges.
Although this is enlargement its focus is height or length with other dimensions following the lead of these if a target has no natural height, and this must be accounted for when using this Manc. For example, anything that is normally taller than long grows in height primarily. So a chair, serevmen, or cup would enlarge upwards and out, whilst a broom, snake, or fallen twig would enlarge lengthwise and up. This is important as certain situations will restrict the enlargement of some items. An average serevmen in a normal-sized room would hit the ceiling and may well stop unless the caster decided to again enlarge whilst in Duration. A broom in the same room, however, would easily reach the length of the room before it stopped, but again the caster could continue to enlarge while the Duration is in effect. Casting Enlarge upon an already maximally-Enlarged target has no effect.
The speed at which something enlarges is dependent upon the caster, who can choose to enlarge slowley or quickly. The fastest it can grow however, is a single Round. By default it takes a Round per 20 feet enlargement.
As a target enlarges it gains the appropriate strength or durability
needed at half the speed of the enlargement rate. So the target is
always too weak to initially break either the ceiling or itself before
stopping the enlargement. This prevent targets being destroyed by
nature as they gain disproportionate dimensions, or damaging itself as
it enlarges. The strength increase is typically STR x (1 per whole 10
feet height gained). E.g.. A 6' tall target with STR 60 is increased to
8 feet and thus their STR is still 80, when increased further to 16
feet however they remain STR 60, however when they are increased to 26
feet their STR becomes 120, and if then Enlarged to 35 feet it would
still be 120, but one more foot and it jumps to a STR of 180. (I.e.
decide the height wished, take away the target's height, divide the
result by 10 and multiply this by thier normal STR.)
When the duration ends, or when the caster dispels the Enlarge, the target reduces in size back to normal at a steady, slow rate, so as not to harm themselves. However, it is possible for some target objects to fall during this time and they will cause any relevent damage to anything they fall upon. I.e. a 60 foot long sword lent against the side of a wall would fall once it had reduced in size to 50 feet long, then anything under it at that time may be hit by the falling sword and taking the relevent damage.
Restoration or Banish Manc dispels Enlarge. Casting Diminish on an Enlarged target operates in the normal way. Once the Enlarged creature has gained all of its appropriate attributes for its new size, casting Giant's Strength works normally for a target of that size. If the Enlarge's duration ends before the Giant's Strength, then the effects gained from the Giant's Strength become those appropriate for the target at its now normal size. It does not keep the larger effects granted by the Giant's Strength. I.e. a warrior with 80 STR is Enlarged to 100 feet in height and thus gains extra STR and becomes 800. Casting a Level 5 Giant's Strength on the now Enlarged warrior boosts his STR to 800 x 5 = 4,000 STR. Then the Duration of the Enlarge ends returning the warrior to thier normal size and attributes, so then does the Giant's Strength boost reduce to the normal 80 x 5 = 400.
By adding a Power Level at casting or creation the attribute increase as the target grows can be reduced by 50%, thus two Power Levels can enlarge a target but they retain their normal attributes. Adding 3 extra Power Levels and the caster can make Enlarge Duration last for 421 Days. Adding an extra 6 Power Levels makes the Enlarge Duration Permanent. All Power Level increases are cumulative.
The Potion must have a default Enlarge size determined at creation.
This is the size anyone beyond the caster taking the Potion will
become. The caster can always choose their size as wished when they
take their own Potion. All other items used Enlarge at the descretion
of the user.
