The ability to detect that which is unknown or hard to discover is something
that Mancers are often found to be wanting. This Manc allows the user to detect
the presence of something or someone. The base form of detect has no parameters
associated with it, thus some specific must also be allocated to the base Manc
level in order to detect that which is wished. (I.e. an item or creature must be associated withthis Manc.)
Generally the Mancer uses the item or casts the spell on themselves or another, and they may then detect the specific as long as it is within range, and the user concentrates enough that they may only use simple items or cast simple Manc while detecting this Manc. Spontaneous casting of this Manc still drains a caster as usual, it does not allow an extra Manc to be spontaneously cast immediately thereafter, unless they are of sufficient power to do so ordinarily. The detected specific is not 'seen', but the item glows a predetermined colour or hue, or the caster of the spell points their fingers or hands in an outward fashion and as the specific is detected their hands begin to glow.
The number of creatures detected at any one time is dependent upon the Mancer's level, with one creature being detected per level.
The range of the detection is also dependent upon the Mancer's level. The range is 100 feet plus the Mancer's level x 10. Whenever a specific creature or item comes within this range the item or hands begin to glow the predetermined colour or hue and grows in intensity the closer, the specific is. At touch range, the glow is sufficient to see in the immediate surroundings for up to two feet in diameter in total darkness, dependent upon the surroundings.
Spell Casting:-
The spontaneous spell must be cast upon an object or the caster
themselves, this then functions as stated already in the text. It may
not be cast upon a target victim, but may be cast upon an object they
are carrying, wearing, or wielding. At casting, the colour, creature,
or item to be detected must be stated. Once the Duration has ended, the
target object has no Manc aura and does not count as being Maiden for
the purposes of recasting this Manc. This spell can not be stored
within a Mancer.
