Fired-based Manc is often thought of as one of the greatest and most powerful destructive Manc availableto any Mancer. Burning Hands epitomises this concept entirely, as it is one of the Death Magics or Manclomiarer, of which only the most powerful can wield.

The caster's hands, upon completion of the casting vocals, become replaced by hands of fire. The arms end in red, searing hot flames, which although the do the Mancer no harm while outstretched, will consume their own body as easily as anything else touched.

When the Mancer touches an object that can be affected by great fire then it is immediately affected. Wood or flesh combusts naturally, metal melts, water vapourises, ice evaporates, and some stone shatters. These effects all happen instantly, no burning time is needed for most normal items. Even Manc armour is melted immediately. Enchanted objects and items, or those specifically for resisting fire and fire-based Manc may gain a Save against the Burning Hands attack.

Another way to inflict damage with this Manc is for the Mancer to join thumbs, or appropriate digits, and pointing forward, either vertically or horizontally, it does not matter which, a great flame is burst forward much like a dragon blast. The blast goes for as long as the (caster's Level +4) x (caster's Level) in feet. [I.e. a Level 2 caster blasts up to 12 feet away while a Level 5 caster blasts at up to 45 feet away.]

The blast is a single line of fire, which ignores the laws of nature and even passes through non-combustible, solid materials to the length of the blast. It hits an area approximately three feet in diameter, although some splashing at short ranges does occur. The Burning Hands lasts for its Duration, during which anything may be touched and instantly cremated, using the blastshowever halves the remaining Duration each time it is blasted.

The caster may wish to triple the casting, reciting the vocals three times, each time they must succeed the roll, however, the Mancer is not drained by the subsequent rolls, only by attempting the whole three counting as one casting overall. If successful in all three rolls the Mancer must not touch or use the blast effect until ready to fire the Death Ball spell. The Mancer must re-cast one more time (again no draining of the Mancer), if this succeeds, then a ball of fire, six feet in diameter is ejected from the caster's hands. The caster's hands are now crippled until the Mancer can once again recast normally, this is the cost of the multiple castings. This ball of fire then goes forth through the air, following the contours of the ground but ignoring physics at a speed equivalent to that of a galloping horse. It heads towards the targeted victim. The victim must have been visible at the start of the casting although it need not be by the end. Even if the victim proceeds underground, the ball of death will now follow them, melting its way through almost any object or material as already stated. The ball will take the most direct route to the victim, folowing the land, turnign in arcs, never angled turns. When it reaches its target victim it envelops them consuming everything into a very fine white dust.

Banish Manc will dispel this Manc. Freeze negates it, Invisible and Visible Walls do not restrict it, but Protection From Evil does.
