FLARE: SURVIVAL

This is the typical, standard hand-held flare. The sort used by truck drivers, road patrols, or people in need of aid to signal for help or to warn others of accident or danger. The flare burns for 20 minutes. Can be used as a light source but its spluttering burning can cause 1 point of S.D.C. damage once every 1D6 rounds held if not protected by clothes/armour or held at extreme range.
