PULL PUNCH

Pull Punch (Declared) = ROLL 1D20 + Strike Bonuses

Pull Punch strike = 11+ to succeed.

A character must declare a Pull Punch before rolling 1D20 and adding any bonuses. Failing the Pull Punch roll (= 5-10) means normal damage is accidentally inflicted. The character must still roll better than a 4 to strike, either with a Pulled Punch or the normal damage strike.

The ability to control the force of a hand-to-hand attack, be it a punch, kick, or use of a melee weapon. Usually used to reduce the blow to less than a killing force. The character can choose to apply half damagem, quarter damage, or a single point of damage, or even no damage at all.
