CHANT

This slow-acting offensive Manc is best used when the victim is unaware of the caster's presence. Once it begins the victim will hear in the first Round a slow, distant sound of a chanting chorus. The chorus seems disembodied and comes from all around the victim. The second round the noise has gained in strength and is now so loud it is difficult to perceive what others might be saying or even the sounds of battle nearby, this causes mild disturbance to the victim especially if they are a Mancer attempting to cast. By the third Round the noise has gained enough strength to now be deafening to the victim who now suffers one of three possible effects, determined by the caster at casting: Rousing Chant, Haunting Chant, and Screaming Chant.

Rousing Chant By the third Round this causes the victim to become filled with a sense of power and strength, which is built upon by the fourth Round (Save Vs Manc) where they become overly reckless and over confident. Filled with a feeling of invulnerability they usually become aggressive and un-fearing to anyone showing any form of opposition to them. So obsessed are they with being superior that the chant is lost to their subconscious while they challenge many about them. They suffer a -15 DBV as they do not feel the need to defend themselves, but gain a +10 to Save Vs Paralysation (fear) and a +5 ABV as they become ferocious in any attacks they make.

Haunting Chant By the third Round this has caused them to become fretful and anxious. The fourth Round (Save Vs Manc) and they suffer -10 ABV, and must make an INT roll to remain where they are or suffer the affects of the Fear Manc.

Screaming Chant By the third Round this causes-5 ABV -3 DBV due to the volume of the chant. By the fourth Round the noise reaches such a cacophony that the victim must make a Save Vs Manc or be weakened and a Save Vs Hitting or be stunned. The victim must then continue to make these Saves per Round until the duration of the Manc end, when the victim regains their hearing with no damage. Once unconscious the victim remains that way until the duration ends. Once stunned the victim remains that way until the duration ends. Weakened cause the victim to suffer a -15 ABV and a -10 DBV penalty.

Banish Manc ends it immediately as does Remove Curse. Resist Fear negates the weakness but not the stun effects. Note that Silence has no effect on this Manc. Duration is considered to start at the beginning of the fourth Round after casting.
