Forull Kampa Valoosh:
This is a summoning of the spirit of a Darsha. The Darsha must either be named specifically, called by title and tribe name, or an open summoning of any Darhsa is possible. Whichever is chosen only one of them may be targeted when using this Manc. The Darsha must prepare themselves for several days before hand, eating little but drinking much and gathering together wood for a fire and some form of sustenance for the duration of the summoning, as when the spirit of the dead Darsha arrives the summoning Darsha must eat to feed both themselves and the spirit as it feeds off of them.
The Ritual consists of the Darsha sitting in a position in front of a fire at twilight or night. Surrounded by various feathers, stones or an item belonging to the Darsha spirit being summoned. The Darsha then intones and lights the fire, breathing in the smoke and chanting. They will raise their hands to the skies and throw pieces of fur, food and plant into the flames again calling and chanting in turn to summon the spirit. The whole ritual will take between a Passage and four Passages, if it works at all that night. Often several nights of ritual must be performed before success is gained, but it is never guaranteed. If, however, one night is missed, then the whole ritual must be cleared, a moon cycle passed and it must be began anew. Once the spirit has arrived, or if it is deemed not to be, the Darsha must clear away the fire and area, or else bad spirits may move in and dwell there.
The symbol is unique to that creating Darsha, but is distinct in its meaning. The symbol takes several Dodecates to imbue with the properties of the spirit Darsha. Sacrifices of food, animal and plant must be made on at least three full moons and three new moons. The location it is placed must be a special, revered place. A special cave, high on a mountain peak or on a difficult ledge to ascend to. The symbol is then carved or painted on a rock, tree or other suitable medium. Once the symbol has been created and imbued over the Dodecates, the Darsha must try and discover if the symbol is ready. To do this they need spill some of their blood upon the symbol and if the symbol is ready the blood will thicken quickly. Once used for the first time the symbol will then absorb the blood and become fresh, as if created only a few days before.
To use the symbol, the Darsha must eat little food for several days before the summoning and then build a small fire besides the symbol, chanting and throwing small pieces of plant, feather or food into the flames, before laying down, under or besides the symbol, and closing their eyes, they begin to quietly chant and as they do, if successful, the spirit Darsha will enter the summoner and communication can begin. this takes anywhere from 1 Turn to 2 Passages, although the summoner may continue in this fashion into daylight, but must cease before noon, when it must be abandoned until the next twilight at least. The summoner during this time will appear asleep, but upon waking, when the communication has finished, they will be starved and need some rest and food before clearing away their fire and leaving.
The table below shows the form the Manc takes. The Level, if applicable, needed to create the form before the Manc can be attempted; this may be either a Manc level (Mancers etc.) or a class level (Ranger etc.). The time the form needs to be fully completed. Components required to attempt the Manc. The base success chance of the Manc working as wished. The maximum chance this Manc has of working assuming typical and average conditions, modifiers to this will be mentioned in the applicable text for that form. Minimum duration is the shortest length of the Manc working once successfully attempted, of course it may be ended by the summoner at any time observing any principles set out for that form.
