CALM AURA

This manc is an invisible area affect emanating out from the caster that makes creatures within its field calm and difficult to anger. No saving throw allowed. It creates a sphere of effect that is six feet in diameter, + 1 foot per level of caster, centered on the caster. Creatures within the sphere become calm and have no anger towards anything, regardless of how angry or upset they were before entering the field. This does not stop an evil creature from carrying out any action they desire, unless that action is totally controlled by anger. Creatures upon leaving the field are still calm, but nothing prevents them becoming angry from outside influences from then on. Creatures composed or whose essence is anger are allowed a Save Vs Manc or they die. This spell cancels any Manc based anger effects or any control from lores that may make a creature angry.

While calm, creatures gain a +10 bonus to their Memorising skills and the caster's level to all other concentrating skills or abilities, such as aiming, knowledge rolls, sensing, and any methodical and focused physical work, such as finding traps or picking locks. It does not aid in casting Manc in any way. It also has the effect of not allowing the affected creatures to be rushed in any way, or frightened from natural situations. Fear-based Manc only works on a victim within a Calm aura if the caster of the fear-based Manc is more powerful than the Calm aura caster's power.

The rod is unique amongst the items for this Manc. It may be held against someone, and that person becomes the center of the Calm Aura, however, the rod must be in constant contact to have affect. Alternatively, the rod may be held and the spell take effect as the caster wishes. The rod must have a command word if it is to be used by another other than the creator and increases the Virgin time to create by 2 Passages and the Maiden time by 1 Passage.
