David says...
Many people swim, either for recreational purposes or else as a means to an end, but sometimes people enter water out of their depth and find themselves unable to swim or escape. Once a character begins to swallow any kind of liquid that is too much for them and does not give them the chance to breathe, they begin to drown.
If a character has no Swim skill, drowning begins once a DEX and STA roll both fail, roll once every second up to STA in seconds.
Once drowning begins character must Save Vs Hitting or take 3D10 - (STA ÷ 10) P.O.D. to MIND every second when in water too deep for them. When MIND reaches 0 character dies.
Freezing or hot water does damage immediately to the character on contact, unless suitable clothing is worn. This damage is done to STA and STR DIRECTLY and therefore reduces the chance to succeed.
