SPORTS
This is a catch-all skill that can be used as a general sports skill
showing an average ability in different activities, these can be
indoor, outdoor, lone or team sports. Assume the character knows how to
compete in up to Rating ÷10 different sports (round down). Once Sports skill
reaches 50% a Specific may be taken by dividing 50% of current Rating
with this new specific. Once a Specific sport reaches 75% that sport
may be specialized into either a position or style. At any time the
general Sports skill of 1-33% shows knowledge of the rules of the game.
The higher this is, the more obscure or in-depth rules the character
knows. Many of the sports possible need other skills in order to
perform competently, as long as these other skills are at their own
competent Ratings, the sport can be performed adequately. For Specifics
the other skills need to be at least 75% of the Sports Rating. For
Specific Specialities the skills must be at 50% at least.
Boxing, wrestling and martial arts do not come under this skill; see Combat Skills.
