This is skill in concealing an area or object(s) in such a way that they are not easily viewed or detected, using matter common to the area or colours which enable the objects to blend in with the surrounding area Its purpose is to mislead optical sensors (i.e. eyes and cameras) into not seeing what they should be seeing. It is an opposed skill against the opponents senses or Sight roll or Detect Hidden. Using perfumes and natural scents, camouflage can also be effective against olfactory senses also, there is no reason, if sonics are common, why sound also could not be used if appropriate. There must be appropriate material at hand for camouflage to take place.
The result difference between Rating and roll is added to the opponents Detect Hidden roll for objects stationary and added to the opponents Sight/Senses roll for all other forms of camouflage.
For each 20% of Rating in camouflage above the opponents Detect
Hidden skill Rating, the opponent has a -10% penalty to their Detect Hidden
Rating.
For each 20% of Rating in camouflage below the opponents Detect
Hidden skill Rating, the opponent has a +10% bonus to their Detect Hidden
Rating.
The time taken to camouflage can also modify the chance of it being
detected. Quick camouflaging without prepared material gives poor results
and only partial success at best. Prepared material speeds up camouflaging
by 50%. For each hour (for large objects) or each 10 minutes (man-sized or
smaller) spent camouflaging, skill roll gains a bonus of -15.
High tech Camouflagers have greater materials to work with and usually have
modifiers because of this.
Characters

50% of basic skill Rating) and has in-depth knowledge of types and
forms as well as knowledge of the history and science of camouflage
techniques within these specialities, which can add to their Detect
