Piggy Back:
The attacker leaps onto the back of the victim and rides
them piggy-back style. This attack has two parts, getting on the
victim's back and then exerting a particular effect on the victim.
To mount the victim's back takes a DEX roll. Success plants the
attacker on the victim's back. Failure means the attacker has missed
the mount and must make a halved DEX roll or fall pronefrom the
attempt. They lose Initiative next round.
Once on the back of the victim, if the victim's STR is not able to
carry the attacker's weight then they are forced to the ground. If they
are able to lift the attacker then they remain standing but unless
their STR is greater than 70 they will be crouched over and all
movement is reduced by 75%.
Once on the back of the victim, the attacker may elect one of several options:-
- Attack the victim from their current position
- Attempt to restrict the victim's arms
- Cover the victim's head and face with their arms
- Attempt to immobilize the victim by wrapping their arms and legs about the victim's limbs.
1. Attacks from this position give a -10 penalty, but always have Initiative.
2. Restricting the victim's arms is an opposed STR Vs STR roll but the attacker gains +10 to their STR Rating.
3. Covering the victim's head makes them automatically lose any
Initiative (unless they have some form of blind fighting ability or
other senses) and all attacks from the victim other than Hold have a
+40 penalty to them.
4. Immobilizing the victim by trapping their limbs is only possible if
the size difference between attacker and victim is not too great. This
becomes an opposed roll of attacker's DEX verses victim's STR. This
attack has a +30 penalty to hit roll. If the victim wins then they pull
awayone limb. Win twice in consecutive rounds and two limbs are free
and the Piggy Back attack ends. If
the attacker wins, they have grabbed and held the limbs of the victim.
Once immobilized should the victim continue to resist it becomes an
opposed roll of STR Vs STR for further rounds (Note: the difference in
STR
results in this being applied as a penalty to the weaker). If the
victim wins
they break free. If the attacker wins they then continue to immobilize
the victim. If at any time the attacker rolls a critical failure, then
the Piggy Back may be turned into a Throw attack upon the attacker.
Should the victim roll
a critical failure, then they have struggled too much and the area held
may
suffer a break or dislocation.
